Pietro Torrini (Italian, 1852-1920) was born on New Year’s Day 1852 IN Florence, Tuscany and was to become a master of the 19th Century conversation piece in Italy
He was a prolific artist and is best known for his informal genre pieces often with a witty theme or anecdote. 

He exhibited widely and his work became very popular with collectors of this genre and frequently appear on the art market especially in New York. More on Pietro Torrini
