The central challenge of history painting lay in selecting a particular subject that could engage the heart and instruct the mind. Grand settings and symbolic accessories proved the artist’s grasp of perspective depth and still-life draftsmanship. Compositions and color schemes had to be carefully conceived to accentuate the principal characters and to clarify the meanings of the incidents. National Gallery

Bailey's ascent at Vogue was meteoric. Within months he was shooting covers and, at the height of his productivity, he shot 800 pages of Vogue editorial in one year.
Since 1966, Bailey has also directed several television commercials and documentaries. Bailey was hired in 1970 by Island Records' Chris Blackwell to shoot publicity photos of Cat Stevens for his upcoming album Tea for the Tillerman. In 1972, rock musician Alice Cooper was photographed by Bailey for Vogue magazine.
Bailey still works as a photographer and has also directed documentaries, commercials, and dramas. He has developed an interest in painting and has had his works exhibited. In 2001, he was made a CBE, which is a class of the Order of the British Empire, for his service to the arts. More on David Royston Bailey

The greatest pleasure for me to think that in a short time that I have the media present sales of over a hundred of my paintings and that they are part of people's living space.
It is important to be constantly active and does not repeat. The world is in constant search for new ways of artistic expression that allows me to almost everything. By combining the techniques and elements of collage art stylized representations of urban areas with a pronounced architectonics, with elements of pop, female figures, symbols and allusions to the metropolitan media jungle.
The pictures are a kind of testimony about the time that is behind us. My work will remain as a record current of modern life." More on Katarina Radenkovicis

Elatab, in art history aspires to be like the great Princes in the world of Painting. One
would be Vincent Van Gogh
Said’s strength is in his drawings and fixation of creating an active drawing of the painful
women in his past life. Like Van Gogh who lost a ear, Elatab love for art is has the
same value as his life. This is a part of his unique style. Some pieces of his art have
been found to be culturally offensive because of the nudity. He runs the gambit in
history from a famous photographer to mad genius painter.
Elatab has made his own brilliance and vibrancy achievements using his epilepsy and
mad character. He gives his canvases a gentle radiance for ladies, and then he burns
the mad creation as part of his pain and desire to display his dedication and love for his
drawings. Said’s art sometimes speaks with burning oils and musk to candle. Then art
becomes a sacrifice through pain. ”I always ask myself, is it reviving the feelings , or a
sense of anger smoldering?!!” said Said.
His expression of middle eastern experiences are found to be relatable by the many
customers who follow his art exhibits and continuously make known their love for his
work; be it photographer or paintings. More on Said Elatab

Influenced by Spanish Baroque art, and using elements drawn from the 19th-century American realists, Manzur returned to figurative art, painting still lifes, the ecstasy of St. Teresa, the story of St. Sebastian, and especially horses in various situations.
In recent years Manzur has turned to new subjects. The Ciudades Oxidadas (rusted cities) which showed his special interest in the deterioration of the planet and was the result of extensive travel and research. His most recent show, Obra Negra (dark work) He now spends most of his time at his studio in Barichara, Santander. More on David Manzur Londoño

The absence of texts in many calligraphy doesn’t subtract anything from the story told in them. His calligraphy is a perfect combination of colors and curves, a story which hides another in each detail and in each ornament, and we can discover many episodes in the same painting and sometimes well hidden, you just have to nd the best way to communicate with his work because it invites us to look and admire his paintings by the heart before the eyes.
In other words, calligraphy is from his spirit and soul, so the painting is the fruit of his imagination. To communicate with his work is to allow our soul to project us far away from our imagination. Mastering the two techniques is like comparing our soul to an imaginary world.
This is how he challenges us and how he built his style, unique for him. More on Meftah Raouf
