Pierre Édouard Gautier Dagoty was born on September 12, 1775, in Florence, Italy, son of Edouard Gautier Dagoty painter engraver and Marie Rousselain. He is cousin of the famous Pierre-Louis Dagoty demonstrated. He stayed in Italy for a long time: it is still found in Venice in 1800. He left shortly after for Paris, WINS Toulouse and Bordeaux to 1806. He stayed there until his death
